The Child Study Team Welcomes You!

A wide variety of special education programs are available for students between the ages of 3 and 21 who require specialized instruction and/or related services such as speech/language services, occupational therapy and physical therapy in order to meet their educational needs. Educational program options include: instruction in a regular class with all the necessary and appropriate supports, supplemental instruction, resource center programs, special class programs within the school district, special education programs in out-of-district public or private schools, individual instruction at home, in medical institutions or other appropriate facilities.

The CST provides a school-based mechanism to enable school personnel to meet the needs of individual children within the school who are having difficulty in the educational setting. Our team is child-centered and facilitates a process that results in the implementation of accommodations, services, and interventions that will enable the child to be successful in school. The options to be considered exist along a wide continuum of support, ranging from mild accommodations to extensive intervention and may be available within the public school system or located elsewhere in the community.
